Warm Weather Projects to Finish Up

Besides doing renovations for the enjoyment of your space and the maintenance for the functionality and longevity of your residence, using the last several weeks (maybe months, depending on where you live) to finish uncompleted tasks is a good idea before it gets too cold or uncomfortable to do so. If you have started any of the following tasks, completing them before the weather changes would be best.

  • Pressure-wash outdoor areas.

  • Refinish your deck paint or stain

  • Build a shed - or secure it if you are already in the process.

  • Declutter your home.

  • Refresh your house with paint.

  • Check gutters.

  • Spruce up landscaping/mulch landscaping.

  • Clean or replace AC/furnace filters and stock up on more.

  • Clean the garage - go through and declutter, make sure there is room for your vehicles in the case of inclement weather

  • Paint interior/exterior/front door

  • Install window screens, or remove, clean and store until spring.

  • Install new exterior doors or paint existing ones

  • Install exterior lights and make sure you replace all exterior light bulbs

  • Window replacement - check to see if there are any broken window seals

  • Driveway repairs - fix cracks, patch holes, seal if needed

  • Paint or Add New Siding or Stucco - or repair any cracks/holes in existing siding

  • Clean up your yard and get rid of any trimmings/scraps/waste

Obviously, you want to finish up anything you have already started, but it’s also a great idea to wrap up any renovations or projects before it gets too cold.
